What's New

Here's some bloopers from the Thunderbirds TV Series:

1. Trapped in the Sky

- When the Doctor arrives on the Island, Jeff activates operation-cover-up. Yet in scenes featuring Jeff, Scott and Gordon, the portraits on the wall clearly show the boys in their International Rescue uniforms.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Pit of Peril

Although the Sidewinder falls upside down in the pit, it makes no sense for the crew and control room to be standing the right way up when we see the control room.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. City of Fire

Although Thompson Tower is situated in America, we see a sign on the wall saying 'centre' as opposed to the American 'center'.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4. Sun Probe

When Thunderbird 2 leaves it's hangar, it takes Pod 3 as Pod 2 is visible to the right. However, on arriving at Mount Arkan, the pod has become Pod 6. This error happens again in Vault of Death, Move – and You're Dead, Martian Invasion, Day of Disaster.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5. The Uninvited

When Scott returns from picking up John, where is John, as he does not appear with Scott when returning to the Tracy Island lounge?
It makes no sense for the logo in the Zombites' control room to be a reversed image of the logo on their helmets.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6. The Mighty Atom

Although supposedly set in 2065, we see a newspaper dated 24th December 1964. This also happens in Edge of Impact, The Impostors, Cry Wolf and Edge of Impact, The Impostors, Cry Wolf and Path of Destruction. Coincidentally, 24th December 1964 was a Thursday, which was the day Thunderbirds was first shown in 1965/6.
The Mighty Atom is only supposed to take photos of human faces yet we see it taking photos of the machinery in the Saharan Plant when no one is in the room.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7. Vault of Death

When Lovegrove first realizes Lambert is trapped in the vault, he is talking to Carter, whose voice is initially that of Shane Rimmer but has suddenly changed to David Graham.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9. Move - And You're Dead

When Alan first contacts the island, Jeff is sitting behind his desk. However, when we cut away back to Jeff (seconds later) he is perched on the front of his desk reading a magazine.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11. Brink of Disaster

Just as the villain's car goes out of control in the opening sequence, a huge lump of greenery falls out of the skyline in the background.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

13. Terror in New York City

As mentioned in the notes, Godber can be seen at the Ned Cook Show at the front of the audience, but when the camera pans along the Tracy family, who are seated at the back of the audience, Godber has relocated himself to just in front of Jeff.
When Thunderbird Four is buffeted to the ground at the end of the story, drops of water can be seen running down the outside of the tank.
Thunderbird 4's engine makes a very deep buzzing sound, rather than the normal high-picthed hum, in this episode.
As Ned and the cameraman swim into Thunderbird 4, you can see the edge of model used to represent Thunderbird 4's cockpit roof. Look to the far right and you can see that the side pod things start, then stop when they should go all the way back.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

15. Day of Disaster

Thunderbird 4's engine makes a very deep buzzing sound, rather than the normal high-picthed hum, in this episode.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

16. Edge of Impact

Although Tim Casey is a Colonel, Scott refers to him as ‘the General' in one scene.
At the TV relay tower rescue, Virgil is seen wearing his raincoat in close-up shots. However, when Alan drives out the Booster Mortar, we see Virgil not wearing his raincoat in background shots.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

19. The Imposters

At the end of the episode when Elliott tells Scott and Alan it's great that International Rescue have been cleared, Scott replies "You can say that again" without moving his lips!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

23. The Duchess Assignment

Partway through the second half, Dandridge's transmission to Penelope is cut off, but there is no explanation why.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

24. Attack of the Alligators

At the beginning of the episode when Mrs Files watches Blackmer's arrival through the house window, the cameraman and his camera are reflected in the glass.
Thunderbird 4 usually comes out of pod 4 but for some reason it comes out of pod 6 in this episode.
Scott couldn't have expected to stop a giant alligator with that small gun.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Season 2
27. Atlantic Inferno

Lady Penelope's 5-digit sheep counting meter is useless to her. She is trying to count her 200,007 sheep and would need 6 digits.
Virgil looks completely different from this episode onwards but no one seems to notice.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

31. Ricochet

When we see Gordon and John fixing Thunderbird 5, John is heard speaking with Gordon's voice!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

32. Give or Take a Million

It is supposed to be the middle of the night when Virgil leaves for Coralville Hospital yet the Thunderbird 2 launch takes place in the day.
Following what is said in notes, Christmas Day in 2067 will be a Sunday. However, Tin-Tin tears a page off a calendar dated 2026 but Christmas Day will be a Friday in 2026. The 2026/2065 debate has continued for many years.

Feature Movie
Thunderbird 6

Its a good thing that International Rescue is so suspicous of everyone as otherwise they wouldn't have taken guns on holiday.
